2nd Shift Electro - Mechanical Technician - Foster Corporation Putnam, CT

Summary:
Troubleshoot, Automate, Maintain and Rebuild Production Equipment in the Medical Extrusion Industry.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Program, trouble shoot and install AC & DC drives, temperature controllers as well as many other types of controllers.
• Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
• Troubleshoot inputs and outputs to and from PLC’s.
• Perform Preventive Maintenance to a variety of equipment.
• Update and maintain PM software.
• Disassemble and reassemble equipment for the purpose of rebuilding.
• Initiate purchase orders.
• Write work instructions and fill out other pertinent ISO documentation.
• Taking turns being on call 24/7 for emergency break downs.
• Assist the Maintenance staff with Plowing, sanding, snow blowing and shoveling in the winter.

Qualifications:
Good computer skills are required.
Excellent electrical, electronic, and mechanical skills.

Education and/or Experience:
A minimum of 5 to 8 years’ experience in manufacturing is preferred.

Mathematical Skills:
The ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
Knowledge of Algebra and Geometry.

Physical Demands:
Heavy lifting at times may be necessary
